In 1959, Dean Martin Performed THIS Western Hit. But When Ricky Nelson Joined In? WOW!

There is a beauty about old movies that is quite rare to find in movies these days. “Rio Bravo” is one of those classics that have stood the test of time. It is an American Western movie from 1959, produced and directed by Howard Hawks. It featured actors like John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, Walter Brennan, Angie Dickinson and Ward Bond. The movie has been said to carry deep cultural significance and has even been chosen to be preserved by the National Film Industry.

The following video shows one of the songs from the movie. The movie included three songs, as one of the actors was crooner Dean Martin. This song is called “My Rifle, my pony and me”. Martin’s voice just takes this song to another level! It’s a number that you can’t help but love even after all these years—it’s no surprise that this song has been called one of the best Western songs of all time!
