Soldiers have to make great sacrifices for the sake of their country. They can’t meet their family and friends as often as they’d like, which can really take a toll on them. Their children can’t see them for years at a time, and it can be hard for the kids too. Haley Webb knows perfectly well how hard it is. She hadn’t met her dad in two years after he’d been sent to work overseas.

Everyone around her knew how hard it was for her, so they planned quite a surprise for her. On Veteran’s Day, her school organized an event to honor the military. She was given a bio of a soldier to read in front of the whole school. She had no idea that it was her dad’s bio she was reading! She eventually realized this, and her reaction after meeting him is amazing!
