Camera Films A Dolphin Giving Birth. But What It Captures Next Leaves Me GASPING For Air!

Even though birth is ‘the’ great miracle of nature, we rare get to see this amazing phenomenon. However, when the aquarium staffs from Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium went to work one day, they were bestowed with this incredible opportunity. Their 28 years old Pacific white-sided dolphin named Katrl was pregnant and they were about to witness the Mother Nature in work.

Katrl gave birth to her newborn after 3 hours of labor. As it was her first pregnancy, more than 40 members of the animal care and veterinary teams stood by as she gave birth to her first child. The calf was born at 25 pounds and around 3 feet. As soon as he came out of the mother’s womb, he started swimming with his mother.
